Make CIC provides a platform for creative businesses to grow and develop by offering studio space, mentoring and resources. We provide space and skills for events; support for business growth; workshops and courses, biscuits with our tea and some awesome parties.
Everything we do is designed to create independence, sustainability and empower the people we work with. We believe in having a ‘social purpose’ – we share skills, collaborate and support our local community. We recycle, re-use tools and support small businesses, artists and makers through hosting meet-ups, courses, and taking part in local stakeholder groups.
We’ve played host to dance; horror; art and film in our atrium, bar and warehouse. Our reclaimed, recycled bar fits in with our sustainable ethos and provides an unusual focal point. Giving you maximum control over lighting and sound, its the perfect atmospheric space for exhibitions, performance art and mixed media events. The bar is complemented perfectly by our light, bright atrium, creating a beautiful combination that’s proving popular for launches, private views and talks.
In the warehouse, the flexible and accessible 5,000 sq. ft. space is perfect for large scale events. We offer a range of packages for hiring the space – our warehouse can be hired on its own, or combined with our atrium and bar as a unique multi-room venue.
The North Docks has rapidly emerged as the city’s not-so-secret cultural corner. Home to the Kazimier’s Invisible Wind Factory, Sound City festival and North Shore Troubadour, over the past few years it’s become the place to head to for festivals, large-scale events, and hazy Mersey views. There is on street parking and visitors can also make use of our small car park at the front of the building, with disabled access.
Our creative spaces are perfect for meetings, workshops, classes and events.
Up in the North Docks, we’ve got plenty of space to play with. A variety of different spaces are suitable for anything – and everything – from talks, presentations and meetings to workshops and private events. On street parking and a small car park is available as well as projectors, tables, chairs and tea and coffee facilities.
At Make Hamilton we’ve got a brand new meeting space with a beautiful view of the Grade I listed Hamilton Square and Birkenhead Town Hall. Just a two-minute walk from Hamilton Square Station, this bright room comfortably fits 12 people around the tables. The room is equipped with a projector and screen, chairs and tables. Perfect for presentations, meetings, classes and more! There is on-street parking available and tea and coffee facilities.
Our production space is located in the warehouse of our North Docks building, creating a flexible and safe environment for building and showcasing work. With 5’000 sq. ft. of space, a double height roller shutter and easy access to our workshop, its a great space for pre-event planning and building.
