DESCRIPTION:An introduction to tie dye is a perfect class for everyone\, whether you’ve done it before or you’re a complete beginner. \nBethan will walk you through the basics of tie dye including: \n– how to fold your material to create different patterns \n– how to tie your material up \n– dye application \n– instruction on how to look after your tote bag. \nBethan is the founder of Buy by Bethan – you can check her out her wonderful creations here \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWithin this class you will be provided with a plain tote bag to dye to your preferred style. \nYou also have the option to bring along your own item to be creative with . \nIf you do decide to bring your own item please ensure it is light in colour and made from natural fibres such as cotton\, rayon\, linen\, lyocell\, silk or denim. \nProtective equipment will be provided including an apron and gloves\, however the dye can be messy so please don’t wear your best clothes. \n\n\n\n\nAbout Make CIC: \nMake CIC is a purpose-driven social enterprise with several vibrant spaces across the Liverpool City Region. Make on the Corner\, our new multi-purpose event space is situated opposite our new maker space and where our creative programme will take place! \n\n\n\n\nFAQs \nWhere is the venue – Make on the Corner? \nMake on the corner is situated at 22 Derby Road which is on the pedestrianised High Street in Huyton Village. The space was formerly Albemarle & Bond Pawnbrokers. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nBy Bike: There is limited bike storage at the venue \nBy Train: The nearest train station to the venue is Huyton train station. The station is a 6 minute walk from the venue – You can view directions via google maps here. \nBy Bus: Huyton Bus station is situated a 3 minute walk from the venue. You can view directions via google maps here. \nBy Car: There is free car parking for up to 3 hours situated in Archway Road car park Address: Archway Road car park\, Civic Way\, Huyton\, Merseyside L36 9GD. Archway Road Car Park is a 4 minute walk to the venue – you can view directions via google maps here. You can find out more about parking in the area here. \nIs the venue accessible? \nThe venue is situated on the ground floor however there is no accessible toilet on site. Our toilet facilities are located on the first floor which is only accessible by stairs. \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements for this class? \nAny child under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and we operate a no under 10 policy. \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nFeel free to get in touch with the Make CIC office at 0151 601 8665 or email hello@makecic.org \nIs my registration/ticket transferrable? \nIf you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. Alternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event up to 7 days before the event. \nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? \nA register will be taken at the workshop\, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. \nThe name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay? \nPlease bring along a print out of your ticket if the registration does not match the attendee\, or contact hello@makecic.org to have them change the ticket so it contains your name. \nCan I get a refund for my ticket? \nRefunds are available up to 7 days before the event. \nRefunds will be offered in the event of the event being cancelled\, alternative dates will be offered if appropriate. \nIf for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 7 days before the class. After this date we can only offer a refund if your space is able to be filled. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes.
