SUMMARY:Magic Wands Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come along to the Quirky Academy and make your own magic wand with us using recycled materials! We will use paint and gold leaf to create something magical together for you to take home. \nFancy dress optional! \nChildren must have 1 accompanying adult. \nMinimum age: 5 years old. \nThis workshop will be taking place as part of the Make Autumn Market so come along for a whole day of family fun! There will be stalls\, food and music as well as other children’s activities to be announced. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the teacher: \nRachel is the founder of Quirky Design Co and the Quirky Academy. Rachel is often seen covered in rainbow paint and donning vibrant boiler suits. Her portfolio includes a wide range of projects\, from fiberglass sculptures to Vardo Wagon restorations\, boats\, and piano transformations as well as a range of educational workshops utilising recycled materials. Visitors to this autumnal shopping event can expect an abundance of independent stall holders\, tasty food\, activities for the whole family\, themed craft workshops and of course music and entertainment throughout the whole day. More info here \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? \nAny child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and we operate a no under 5’s policy. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nOn street parking is free but limited to 2 hours so vehicle drivers will need a permit for street parking. Public transport links are nearby\, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre (see our website for more information\, we’re located at Make North Docks). \nHow accessible is the venue? \nThe workshop is located on the ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions. We would advise wheelchair users to contact the workshop provider on the sale of the ticket to arrange a parking bay. \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nFeel free to get in touch with the Make CIC office at 0151 601 8665 or email hello@makecic.org \nIs my registration/ticket transferrable? \nIf you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. \nAlternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event up to 7 days before the event. \nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? \nNo\, a register will be taken at the workshop\, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. \nWhat is the refund/cancellation policy? \nRefunds will be offered in the event of the class being cancelled – in this instance we will give as much notice as possible\, usually at least 5 days\, and offer alternative dates if appropriate. \nThis class does have a minimum requirement of ticket sales to proceed\, so there is a possibility of it being cancelled\, but we will contact you five days before if this is the case. \nIf for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 7 days before the workshop. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes. \n*Refunds will be given minus Eventbrite fees\, unless Make CIC cancel the class\, in which case a full refund will be given* \nThe name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. SUMMARY:Halloween Tie Dye
DESCRIPTION:Buy by Bethan is opening up her brand new studio space at the Make Autumn Market with her incredible Tie Dye workshops! \nAn introduction to tie dye is a perfect class for everyone\, whether you’ve done it before or you’re a complete beginner. This workshop is family friendly\, all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. \nBethan will walk you through the basics of tie die including: \n– how to fold your material to create different patterns \n– how to tie your material up \n– dye application \n– instruction on how to look after your tote bag. \nBethan is the founder of Buy by Bethan – you can check her out her wonderful creations here \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWithin this class you will be provided with a plain tote bag to dye to your preferred style. \nYou also have the option to bring along your own item to be creative with . \nIf you do decide to bring your own item please ensure it is light in colour and made from natural fibres such as cotton\, rayon\, linen\, lyocell\, silk or denim. \nProtective equipment will be provided including an apron and gloves\, however the dye can be messy so please don’t wear your best clothes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs \nWhere will the class take place? \nBethan’s studio is located in Make North Docks\, please find a member of staff (wearing high viz jacket) on the day who will take you round to the studio \nWhat is the Make Autumn Market? \nMake’s Autumn Market is a free makers market hosted by Make CIC at Make North Docks\, 34 Regent Street\, L3.
