DESCRIPTION:Part of the Enterprise Support from Make CIC collection.\n\nJoin us as we explore top tips on how to run a boss exhibition! \n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\n\nAre you looking to put on your first exhibition and not sure where to start? Or are you looking for tips and tricks on how to improve your exhibition game? This session\, delivered by Convenience Gallery\, will share tips and tricks on how you can put on a boss exhibition. \nThe first part of this session will focus on: \n\nPlanning\nLocations\nprogramming\nPromotion\nCommunity engagement\n\nThe second part of this session will be interactive and attendees will get the chance to plan their own exhibition\, with the support and guidance of Convenience Gallery. We recommend people have examples of their work\, or work they find inspiring (images on your phone are fine – no need to bring physical works). \nDiscussion and Quick fire Q&Q to finish. \n— \nAbout the Practitioner: Andrew Shaw is Co-Founder and director of Convenience Gallery. Andy works across Convenience Gallery on curation\, programming\, marketing\, design\, communication\, admin and finance\, future planning\, funding and pretty much everything it takes to run a business really alongside Ryan Gauge. He studied Interactive Arts at University and has a background working in graphic design and marketing\, as well as in structural steel. \nAbout Convenience Gallery: Convenience is a not for profit\, creative arts platform based in Birkenhead. Since 2019 convenience have been on a mission to create accessible ways for communities to engage and be enriched through the arts. \n \nAbout the programme: \nThis session is part of a programme of workshops designed to provide tailored support to artists\, makers and creatives living in the Liverpool City Region. Devised by Make CIC and in partnership with Baltic Creative CIC\, each workshop is delivered in person by local expert practitioners who are able to share knowledge and valuable insight on each chosen topic. \nAbout Eligibility: \nThis session is open to individuals living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool\, Sefton\, Knowsley\, Wirral\, St Helens\, or Halton) only. \nThis session is part of a wider project called Enterprise Hub Skills which is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). In order to access this support for free\, all attendees are required to prove their eligibility in line with ESF’s funding requirements. Jenny has over 20 years of experience working in an advisory role\, helping individuals to reach their potential and businesses to start up and flourish.
