DESCRIPTION:Make Huyton Village \nLocated on Derby Road in the heart of Huyton Village Centre\, Make Huyton Village offers private studios and shared workspace in Knowsley. Make Huyton brings a hive of creativity to the town centre with a high tech Innovation Lab\, allowing members of the community to experiment with making and product creation. Make Huyton Village is open 24 hours for all of our residents. \n\n\n\n\nMake Huyton Village Open Days \nInterested in a studio space or just curios about what Make do and how to get involved? Come along for a tour of our newest space Make Huyton Village. \nTours will last 30 to 45 minutes and and begin every hour on the hour (eg. 11:00\, 12:00\, 13:00 and 14:00) at the front of Make Huyton Village\, 47-49 Derby Road\, Huyton\, during open day hours (please check the open day hours for each date as they differ). \nHave a look at our range of studio spaces\, hear about our future plans\, check out our brand new “Innovation Lab” and find out about our upcoming programme. \nYour tour will conclude at Make on the Corner at 22 Derby Road\, our additional space used for events\, meetings\, workshops\, classes\, pop-up shop\, exhibitions\, etc. \nWhether you are a creative looking for a studio to work\, need a space to put an event or class on\, or whether you are just nosey – please register\, come along and join us! \nDogs and children are welcome! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA bout your Guide \nYour guide on the open days will be Mia Tagg\, the Project Lead for Make Huyton Village. \nMake’s newest team member\, Mia has twenty years experience working in business start-up and project management in Liverpool and London\, focused on arts and hospitality. \nP revious projects include the cafe bar at FACT\, Northern Lights for Baltic Creative and Homebaked Anfield. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nW here is the venue ? \nM ake Huyton Village is situated at 47-49 Derby Road\, Huyton which is on the pedestrianised High Street in Huyton Village. The space was formally Boots. \nW hat time does the tour start? \nThe tour around Make Huyton Village takes between 30 and 60 minutes. Each tour starts on the hour (e.g. every 60 minutes). If you need to get in touch on the day\, please call or message Mia on 07492708827. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \n\nBy Bike: There is secure bike storage at the venue.\nBy Train: The nearest train station to the venue is Huyton train station. The station is a 6 minute walk from the venue – You can view directions via google maps here.\nBy Bus: Huyton Bus station is situated a 3 minute walk from the venue. You can view directions via google maps here.\nBy Car: There is free car parking for up to 3 hours situated in Archway Road Address: Archway Road Car Park\, Civic Way\, Huyton\, Merseyside L36 9GD. SUMMARY:Drink & Draw @ Make North Docks
DESCRIPTION:If you enjoy doodling and sketching and want the chance to do some life drawing in a friendly relaxed atmosphere\, then come and check out our monthly class! \nThe sessions take place in our beautiful\, cosy bar and include a cheese board and glass of wine. For those of you who are new to life drawing and maybe feeling a tad awkward or nervous\, having a complimentary glass of wine will help you get into your creative flow! \nThe cheeseboard will be served during the break so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis class is for anyone aged 16 or over\, whether you’re a regular at life drawing classes or you can barely hold a pencil\, everyone is welcome. This is an untaught session to come and practise. \nPlease bring whichever materials you feel comfortable working with\, from some charcoal to a biro\, a small sketch pad to A3 sheets of paper. There will be a limited amount of drawing boards and materials\, available on a first come first serve basis. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis session is a chilled out place to have a go if you haven’t drawn before and also a perfect opportunity for the more experienced artists to practise. \nYou are encouraged to come from 6:15pm to chat and find a place. There will be a 20 minute break in the middle to finish off the fromage and get your complimentary glass of wine. \nTo make our model feel as comfortable as possible we would ask you to follow standard life drawing etiquette and talk quietly. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements for this class? \nThe class is for people ages 16+. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nOn street parking is free and unlimited. Public transport links are nearby\, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre. \nHow accessible is the venue? \nThe workshop is located on the ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions. We would advise wheelchair users to contact the workshop provider on the sale of the ticket to arrange a parking bay. \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nFeel free to get in touch with the Make CIC office at 0151 601 8665 or email hello@makecic.org \nI have dietary requirements – what should I do? \nWe are able to supply vegan cheese and offer a gluten free option if you get in touch ahead of the class – however we are not an allergen free restaurant and cannot ensure that cross contamination will never occur. \nIs my registration/ticket transferrable? \nIf you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. Alternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event up to 7 days before the event. \nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? \nA register will be taken at the workshop\, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. \nThe name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay? \nPlease bring along a print out of your ticket if the registration does not match the attendee\, or contact hello@makecic.org to have them change the ticket so it contains your name. \nCan I get a refund for my ticket? \nRefunds are available up to 7 days before the event. \nRefunds will be offered in the event of the event being cancelled\, alternative dates will be offered if appropriate. \nIf for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 7 days before the class. After this date we can only offer a refund if your space is able to be filled. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes.
