SUMMARY:The Six Humans Needs
DESCRIPTION:In this second workshop of a two-part series\, we will explore The Six Human Needs that every person has\, no matter their age\, sex\, gender\, culture\, religion\, capabilities or social status. \nThese are not wants but needs and we fulfil them in some way every day. However\, the vehicles we choose to meet these needs aren’t always the most productive or life-enhancing. In fact\, meeting our needs in some ways can cause long term problems\, holding us back from living the life we want and even negatively affecting our health. \nLearning about our Human Needs and how we meet them can be life changing because with self-awareness we can positively adapt and change our behaviours and patterns. As we gain more awareness about ourselves\, we can then have more understanding and compassion for other people around us. \nIn this workshop we will explore: \n– The Six Human Needs\, \n– The dominant Human Needs that may currently be influencing your life and \nrelationships at home and in business \n– The many vehicles that people use to meet their Six Human Needs – what are yours? \n– A way to meet all the Human Needs productively and healthily with confidence and \nenjoyment. \nThis is a fun\, interactive workshop held in a safe\, confidential space. \nWith thanks to Robbins Madanes training. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Facilitator \nRachel is a qualified hypnotherapist from the Andrew Parr Academy. After this date we can only offer a refund if your space is able to be filled. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes.

SUMMARY:Sauerkraut for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Fermentation has been around for centuries\, and it has certainly been making a comeback these past few years. However\, it can sometimes seem a bit daunting and there is a common misconception that making ferments from scratch should be limited to seasoned fermenters and experienced chefs. \n  \nThis workshop aims to make fermentation accessible to all\, so that you can confidently start your own projects at home. We’ll cover the basics of lacto-fermentation\, learn about health & safety measures\, and end with a little tasting session exploring various ferments made with local or foraged produce. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will make and take home your own unique jar of sauerkraut\, and get to experiment with different flavours using herbs and seeds (foraged or grown on-site). You will also receive an information booklet with all the information you need to start your own lacto-ferments at home. \n  \n  \nFermentation is a healthy and creative way to add more veg into your diet. It is also a fantastic way to capture seasonal flavours. So join us on Wednesday\, 20th of September for a relaxed and fun fermentation session. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Teacher \nDiane is a classically-trained pastry chef\, now making sourdough bread at Fika+ (Chester)\, and working on the field at Cheshire Market Gardens. Passionate about sustainability\, she makes a point of using locally-grown produce as much as possible\, often turning to foraging & fermenting to minimise waste and use ingredients to their full potential. \n  \nFollow Diane @vegartemis \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? \nAny child under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and we operate a no under 10 policy. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nBy Train: \nWe are a stone’s throw away from Hamilton Square train station which is just a short walk down Cleveland street and accessible from all inner city Liverpool Stations and all Wirral line stations. \nBy Bus: \nThere are numerous bus stops nearby and around the Hamilton Square area\, all just short walks away from our space. These include numbers: 41\, 216\, 217\, 409\, 410\, 411\, 413\, 414\, 423\, 811 and several others. \nBy Car: \nFollow the signs for Hamilton Square. SUMMARY:Botanical Clay Casting
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is suitable for all abilities and will enable you to create a beautiful keepsake with ease. \nThe botanical art tiles are made by pressing plants\, flowers & objects into clay. They are then removed & plaster is poured over to create the cast. The process picks up an incredible amount of detail to create a beautiful raised impression. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this workshop we will create two works of art – both the clay imprint and the plaster cast\, in a shape and size of your choice. A lovely memory of summer flowers\, or perhaps more sentimental flowers – a dried wedding bouquet or a relatives favourite flower could be pressed to create a treasured keepsake. The Botanical Impressions and casts make ideal gifts for garden and nature lovers too. \nThe artist will demonstrate how to roll out your clay\, imprint your foliage and create a frame to pour in the plaster of Paris. This will then set over lunch. \nAfter lunch we will delicately paint the plaster cast using acrylic paints and a drybrushing and rubbing technique shown. We can then add a D ring hook to the back of each art piece so they can be hung on the wall or they can be placed on a stand to display. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop will be lead by Helen Jones theartdoctoruk \nFacebook: theartdoctoruk \nInstagram : The_Art_Doctor_UK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? \nAny child under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and we operate a no under 10 policy. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nOn street parking is free but limited to 2 hours. Alternatively you can park in our visitor car park. We have 2 parking spaces in the Make North Docks car park that will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please let us know if you require a blue badge holder and we can reserve your space. Public transport links are nearby\, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre (see our website for more information\, we’re located at Make North Docks). \nHow accessible is the venue? \nThe workshop is located on the ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions. We would advise wheelchair users to contact the workshop provider on the sale of the ticket to arrange a parking bay. \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nFeel free to get in touch with the Make CIC office at 0151 601 8665 or email hello@makecic.org \nIs my registration/ticket transferrable? \nIf you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. \nAlternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event up to 7 days before the event. \nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? \nNo\, a register will be taken at the workshop\, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. \nWhat is the refund/cancellation policy? \nRefunds will be offered in the event of the class being cancelled – in this instance we will give as much notice as possible\, usually at least 5 days\, and offer alternative dates if appropriate. \nThis class does have a minimum requirement of ticket sales to proceed\, so there is a possibility of it being cancelled\, but we will contact you five days before if this is the case. \nIf for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 7 days before the workshop. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes. \n*Refunds will be given minus Eventbrite fees\, unless Make CIC cancel the class\, in which case a full refund will be given* \nThe name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay? \nPlease bring along a print out of your ticket if the registration does not match the attendee\, or contact hello@makecic.org to have them change the ticket so it contains your name. \nWhat can I bring into the event? \nYou don’t need to bring anything but yourself. All materials are provided. \nWe also have an onsite café serving tea\, coffee and delicious cakes and light lunches!
