DESCRIPTION:Crack open your Easter egg early and join us for our Watercolour Easter Card Workshop at Make on the Corner! Relax and paint at our beginner-friendly session where you’ll learn how to make beautiful Easter cards using watercolour paints. \nNo experience is necessary – your friendly instructors will guide you through different tequniques and help you make some beautiful cards you’ll be proud to send to your friends and family\, this Easter. \nWhat to expect: \nOlivia will teach you watercolour painting basics and top tips\, providing any help you need.\nWe will cover: \n\nTraditional and non-traditional ways to use watercolour\nEmbracing mistakes\nHow to get different effects\n\nWhat to bring: \nAll materials will be provided for the workshop\, so all you have to bring is yourself and your favourite snack. You may\, however\, bring your own water-based painting kit if you would like. \nWe will provide: \n\nWatercolour paper\nPaintbrushes\nMasking tape\nWatercolour paints\nWater pots\nFine liner pens\nKitchen roll\nEnvelopes\nTea\, coffee\, and water\n\nYou can take your gorgeous new cards home on the day\, with plenty of time to send them off to friends and family\, for maximum easter card enjoyment! \nPlease note\, this is an 18+ event. \n\n\n\n\nAbout your Tutor \nYour tutor\, Olivia McIntosh\, is a fine artist with a passion for painting based at Make Huyton Village. Olivia has featured in exhibitions and projects around Liverpool and Knowsley\, and is no stranger to teaching art. \nOlivia’s practice is broad\, though she focuses on unlearning and relearning traditional painting techniques within her work. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or if you’ve never touched a paintbrush in your life\, this workshop is for you! Come along for a tour of Make Hamilton \nHave a look at our range of studio and work spaces\, hear about our future plans\, check out our hireable spaces find out about our upcoming programme\, and meet our residents. \nWhether you are a creative or small business looking for a space to work\, need a space to put an event or class on\, or whether you are just nosey – please register\, come along and join us! \nDogs and children are welcome! \nThe tour around Make Hamilton takes between 30 and 60 minutes. Please arrive by 6pm for the tour to start at 6.10pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout your Guide \nYour guide on the open days will be Alison Ashton\, Makes Community Manager. \nAlison is also the creator of Make Mosaic and runs beginners classes in mosaics and other craft techniques across the North West. She has a love of using reclaimed and broken china (as well as other found / unloved objects) to make bespoke pieces. As well as experience in working on educational projects across the UK. \nWhat time does the tour start? \nThe tour around Make Hamilton takes between 30 and 60 minutes. The closest free and unlimited parking is on Russel Street and Brooke Street East which is approximately five minutes walk away.
