SUMMARY:Free Motion Embroidery: Winter Houses
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn a new technique or develop your sewing skills? Bring along your sewing machine for a lesson in free-motion embroidery focused on a WINTER HOUSES design! \nDanielle will teach you to draw with your sewing machine – no drawing skill necessary. She’ll show you some sneaky tricks. \nYou will leave the session with a completed project ready for you to frame or upcycle. \nBasic knowledge of sewing machine skills useful for this class! Please get in touch with any questions. \n \nAbout the teacher: \nDanielle McIntyre is a self-taught free-motion embroidery artist who has been teaching in high school for 15 years. She is inspired by cityscapes and landscapes and enjoys pairing monochromatic schemes with vibrant Liberty of London prints. Danielle began in this medium as a way of memorialising the places she has loved; Chester\, Liverpool\, North Yorkshire and North Wales. After numerous requests she began taking commissions on others’ special places. She enjoys replicating others’ memorable locations and adding her own twist with bold lines\, prints and colours. Danielle was taught to sew by her grandmother and has since run a children’s clothing business. She now concentrates on producing her artwork. \nDanielle is passionate about the arts and especially finds inspiration in performing in musical and straight theatre. \nwww.daniellemcintyreart.com \nFacebook: danielle_mcintyre_art \nInsta: danielle_mcintyre_art \n \n \nFAQs\nDo I need to bring along my own sewing machine? \nYes\, you must bring along your own machine and have a basic understanding of how to use it in order to get the most out of the session. \nIs this class suitable for beginners? \nYes\, Danielle will give lots of help and support during the class and class sizes are limited to ensure she is able to spend ample amounts of time with each attendee. \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements for this class? \nThe class is for people ages 16+. \nWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? \nOn street parking is free and unlimited. Public transport links are nearby\, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre. \nHow accessible is the venue? \nThe workshop is located on the ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions. We would advise wheelchair users to contact the workshop provider on the sale of the ticket to arrange a parking bay. \nWhere can I contact the organiser with any questions? \nFeel free to get in touch with the Make CIC office at 0151 601 8665 or email hello@makecic.org \nIs my registration/ticket transferrable? \nIf you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. Alternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event up to 7 days before the event. \nDo I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? \nA register will be taken at the workshop\, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. \nThe name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay? \nPlease bring along a print out of your ticket if the registration does not match the attendee\, or contact hello@makecic.org to have them change the ticket so it contains your name. \nCan I get a refund for my ticket? \nRefunds are available up to 7 days before the event. \nRefunds will be offered in the event of the event being cancelled\, alternative dates will be offered if appropriate. \nIf for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 7 days before the class. After this date we can only offer a refund if your space is able to be filled. \nThis is because we pay our practitioners fair wages for their work- giving refunds on last minute cancellations would mean that practitioners would not be paid for the preparation they have put into their classes.
