This informal workshop session is for any artist, designer-maker or crafter who is looking to start selling at in-person events; or for any stallholder who is looking for some extra tips and advice for selling at markets and fairs. This workshop will look at:
- Presentation
- Branding
- Visual merchandising
- Practical tips for setting up your market stall
- Different techniques and hacks
- The do’s and don’ts of selling at in-person events
It’s a thorough overview of setting up your craft fair stall, and will give you plenty of information to help you have a profitable and enjoyable event, with minimal stress!
About the Practitioner: Becka Griffin at Make and Flourish is a professionally-trained graphic artist who has been selling illustrations since 2009. Based in South Liverpool, Becka is an experienced online seller with over 100,000 sales across various platforms. She also regularly sells at local in-person events, and is Captain of the Merseyside Etsy Team.
About the programme:
This session is part of a programme of workshops designed by Make CIC to provide tailored support to artists, makers and creatives living in the Liverpool City Region. Each workshop is delivered in person by local expert practitioners who are able to share knowledge and valuable insight on each chosen topic.
These workshops are part-funded by the European Social Fund.
About Eligibility:
This session is open to individuals living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton) only.
In order to access this support for free, all attendees are required to complete a registration pack prior to the workshop. It’s really straightforward and Make CIC’s Enterprise Manager, Alison James (AJ), will be in contact with you prior to the session to complete the process.

Where is the venue – Make Hamilton?
Make Hamilton is situated at 2 Cleveland Street and is just off Hamilton Square, a Grade II listed Georgian Square in the heart of Birkenhead.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
By Train: We are a stone’s throw away from Hamilton Square train station which is just a short walk down Cleveland street and accessible from all inner city Liverpool Stations and all Wirral line stations.
By Bus: There are numerous bus stops nearby and around the Hamilton Square area, all just short walks away from our space. These include numbers: 41, 216, 217, 409, 410, 411, 413, 414, 423, 811 and several others.
By Car: Follow the signs for Hamilton Square. We don’t have any designated parking for visitors but there is a range of paid and free parking close by.

How accessible is the venue?
The workshop is located on ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions.
What does the registration entail?
This workshop is fully funded and attendees will need to complete a registration pack before the event takes place. Make CIC’s Enterprise Manager, Alison James (AJ), will be in contact with you once you have signed up via Eventbrite to complete the registration pack.
Will refreshments be available?
Water will be provided at the session. Our on site café, Nettle has a full range of delicious tea, coffee, cakes and other treats available to purchase

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
A register will be taken at this session, it isn’t necessary to print your ticket.
What is the cancellation policy?
Given that this event is free to attend we do ask that those who sign up, but who cannot make it, let us know ASAP so we can reallocate the ticket.
