Crack open your Easter egg early and join us for our Watercolour Easter Card Workshop at Make on the Corner! Relax and paint at our beginner-friendly session where you’ll learn how to make beautiful Easter cards using watercolour paints.
No experience is necessary – your friendly instructors will guide you through different tequniques and help you make some beautiful cards you’ll be proud to send to your friends and family, this Easter.
What to expect:
Olivia will teach you watercolour painting basics and top tips, providing any help you need.
We will cover:
- Traditional and non-traditional ways to use watercolour
- Embracing mistakes
- How to get different effects
What to bring:
All materials will be provided for the workshop, so all you have to bring is yourself and your favourite snack. You may, however, bring your own water-based painting kit if you would like.
We will provide:
- Watercolour paper
- Paintbrushes
- Masking tape
- Watercolour paints
- Water pots
- Fine liner pens
- Kitchen roll
- Envelopes
- Tea, coffee, and water
You can take your gorgeous new cards home on the day, with plenty of time to send them off to friends and family, for maximum easter card enjoyment!

About your Tutor
Your tutor, Olivia McIntosh, is a fine artist with a passion for painting based at Make Huyton Village. Olivia has featured in exhibitions and projects around Liverpool and Knowsley, and is no stranger to teaching art.
Olivia’s practice is broad, though she focuses on unlearning and relearning traditional painting techniques within her work. She is passionate about making art more accessible to those who are neurodivergent through using alternative methods of learning, documenting, and communicating.

Absolutely not. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or if you’ve never touched a paintbrush in your life, this workshop is for you! This class is suitable for all levels.
All materials required will be provided for you to use on the day. If you have your own water-based painting kit, you are welcome to bring that with you if you would like.
No – you can come and go as you please between the allotted workshop times. Creativity has no schedule!
