Bethan Flanagan
Reworking & Tie Dye
Bethan is the founder of Buy by Bethan, a sustainable clothing boutique reworking clothing from drab to fab using number of different techniques including bleaching, dying, gluing, sewing and painting. Here at Make CIC Bethan runs a Tie Dye Class and a reworking class, where you can learn new ways of making your old unloved jacket into your new favourite!
Michael Borkowsky
Perfume Making
Michael Borkowsky is an artist who has been working with scent for the past 15 years. He aims to showcase the creative possibilities of fragrance in contemporary art. This is achieved through exhibitions ranging from creating portraits from perfume design, and using candles to respond to news events. Michael also co-runs Fronteer Gallery in Sheffield.
Rosie Ashton
Teaches: Herbs for Health
Rosie is a self taught herbalist who has been working with plants for several years in community gardens across the UK. She has a background in permaculture and is an experienced food grower and plant-based chef. She's been creating community gardens and facilitating food growing and wellbeing sessions since 2016. She spends her free time deepening her herbal knowledge at her allotment.
John Lucy
Teaches: Beekeeping
John started keeping bees over 15 years ago, and is responsible for looking after the hives at Make Hamilton, as well as other hives across the Liverpool City Region. John harvests our Hamilton Honey which you can find in the cafe at Make Hamilton.
Aurélie Vanbergen
Teaches: Terrazzo
With a background as an interior designer, Aurélie began her journey with traditional ceramic making 4 years ago. She fell in love with the process of eco-resin and terrazzo during lockdown. Her imagination exploded with prospect of all the ideas she could materialise. She is now so excited to be sharing her knowledge of this product for you to discover and try out a new craft skill.
