Woodwork: An Introduction

 

This beginners workshop is a great way to develop your wood working skills. This hands on class will teach and explore woodworking techniques including how to measure and cut accurately, sanding, planing, drilling and sawing. Gain the confidence to use a range of hand tools and build an understanding of woodworking methods.

All materials will be provided, using reclaimed and recycled wood makers will go home with a self made tool box.

FAQs

Do I need any experience prior to the class? No prior wood working experience is necessary, all health and safety will be taught by our experienced technician.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?Any child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, this particular class is not suitable for individuals under 16.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? On street parking is free and unlimited. Public transport links are nearby, and the venue is easily accessible on foot from Liverpool City Centre.

How accessible is the venue? The workshop is located on ground floor which provides full accessibility to the premises including toilet provisions We would advise wheelchair users to contact the workshop provider on the sale of the ticket to arrange a parking bay.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? If you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let the organiser know if you need to do this. Alternatively tickets can be transferred to a future event upto a 14 days before the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? A register will be taken at the workshop and classes are kept small so it isn’t neccessary to print your ticket.

What is the refund policy? Refunds will be offered in the event of the event being cancelled, alternative dates will be offered if appropriate. If for any reason you find you are unable to attend then please get in touch and a refund can be offered up to 14 days before the workshop. After this date we can only offer a refund if your space is able to be filled.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay? Please do bring along a print out of your ticket if the registration does not match the attendee.

What can I bring into the event? We will have a break or two within the session with the opportunity for snacks and coffee! Please bring along lunch/snacks if you would prefer not to buy it. All materials will be provided for the class.

What should i wear? Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required. Long hair must be tied back and jewellery and any loose items such as scarves will need to be removed or tucked away prior to the class starting. These rules are for your safety and must be followed.
