LAST DAY OF #MakeHamiltonGrow

On Friday 30th August our Crowdfunder campaign  #MakeHamiltonGrow successfully reached 100% of our target hitting just over £5000. Now, with just 9 HOURS left, 140 people have joined the crowd and helped to raise over £6,000. We’re now just 8% away from reaching our stretch goal of £7000. We need a little help getting there.

The more we raise, the more impact we can make in Birkenhead and the more we can transform our beautiful outdoor space. And you can be part of that. Our plans include a small urban farm with raised beds for growing vegetables; a well-being space for sitting, reading, and meeting people; and an outdoor courtyard for the cafe in the day and events at night.

We commissioned local Wirral artist and maker, Tim Devas, to produce a unique print which celebrates Hamilton Square Train Station merged with Make’s plans to create a community garden, including bees producing local honey, at the new hub “Make Hamilton Square”. There’s still a few exclusive prints left as rewards on our Crowdfunder, but they’re going quick, so grab one before it ends.

We still have some other amazing rewards left, including local Hamilton Honey, our very own Hamilton Hops brewed by local Glen Affric Brewery, a place on our woodwork course and lots more.
