We’re thrilled to unveil our latest Made by Make commission in collaboration with the Floral Pavilion Theatre as part of their enchanting Peter Pan Panto season. Sponsored by Wirral Borough of Culture, this installation isn’t just an artistic piece—it’s an immersive photo opportunity designed to transport guests to the magical world of Neverland right from the theatre lobby.
Breathing New Life into a Beloved Structure
Innovation and sustainability are guiding principles for us, so we’re especially proud to have reimagined our “Midnights” installation from the Liverpool Loves Taylor, Taylor Town Trail. Originally a shimmering ode to starry skies and dreamy landscapes, the structure has been transformed into a Peter Pan-inspired wonderland.
Through creative reinvention, the installation has taken on a new identity while retaining its core spirit, highlighting the joy of giving existing pieces a fresh lease of life.
Collaboration in Every Detail
The transformation of “Midnights” into Neverland was no small feat. A collaboration between skilled craftspeople and artists brought this vision to life:
- Xyleia: The original structure, meticulously designed and constructed by Xyleia, provided a versatile foundation. Its adaptability was key in creating this fantastical reimagining.
- Jaime Mora Fernandez of Mulberry Workshop: Jaime worked his CNC magic to cut character pieces inspired by the world of Peter Pan. These elements add depth and storytelling to the installation.
- Rachel Smith-Evans of Quirky Design Co: Rachel repainted the structure and character elements, infusing them with vibrant, Neverland-appropriate hues and ensuring every detail feels alive with magic.
- Brantina Chisango of B’VARI: Brantina added a touch of elegance by reupholstering the chair, creating a central piece of the installation that invites visitors to step into a storybook moment.
A Perfect Backdrop for Magical Memories
As guests arrive at the Floral Pavilion Theatre for the Peter Pan Panto, they’ll encounter this striking installation. The design invites attendees to pause, interact, and capture memories against the backdrop of a world where pirates, fairies, and adventure come to life.
