Make Resident Secures Awesome Foundation Grant

The Liverpool Chapter of the Awesome Project Grant Make Resident £500

Our North Docks resident Malcolm of Ten Street Cycles creates bespoke bicycles hand built in Liverpool, here at Make. This month Awesome Liverpool which is the Liverpool chapter of the Awesome Foundation, granted Malcolm £500.

Every month the trustees of Awesome Liverpool give away £500 of their own money to the cities creative ideas, promoting the awesomeness that is in Liverpool. As well as the grant the trustees also offer support to those awarded and have a lot of connections in the city which help the ideas become realities.

Malcolm’s idea is just that, awesome. Not only does he build stunning bikes, but he also wants to help you maintain yours, and the Awesome Liverpool grant will help him, help you.  Malcom is holding subsidised classes at Make North Docks, which will be focussed on bike maintenance for beginners. The class will focus on how to properly clean and oil your bike, adjust brakes and repair punctures and tyres. Attendees will also leave with their own puncture repair kit.

For those of you who are cycling enthusiasts or if you’re just interested in cycling but don’t know your gears from your shifters, we’re sure you’ll be as excited as us (and Malcolm) for his classes!
