Are you a young, aspiring creative living in or from Knowsley? Make is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity to secure dedicated studio space, receive some financial support, and grow your practice as part of the Creative Residency Programme at Make Huyton Village!

We’re inviting three talented young creatives to join our vibrant community for a 12-month residency. This is your chance to turn your passions into something more!

The Opportunity Awaits

We are offering three individuals (aged 16–25) a one-year residency at our thriving hub in the heart of Huyton.

Key Details:

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Location: Make Huyton Village (47-49 Derby Rd, Huyton, Liverpool, L36 9UQ)

What You Will Receive:

  • Dedicated Shared Workspace: Complimentary shared studio space at Make Huyton Village for one year (a value of £1,500).
  • Financial Support: A £200 stipend to subsidise local travel expenses for the year.
  • Mentorship: Support and guidance from Make’s Community & Project Co-Ordinator.
  • Professional Development: Access to masterclasses to develop skills. 
  • Part of a movement: A chance for networking, collaboration, and professional development opportunities as part of the wider This Place, This Stage project.
  • Final Showcase: Access to funds and support to host a final showcase event of the work you create during your residency!

💡 Who We Are Looking For

Whether you’re a beginner or already on your way, we want to hear from you! You could be a maker, artist, musician, designer, illustrator, photographer, theatre-maker, or even just figuring out what you’re interested in – all disciplines are welcome.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are aged 16–25.
  • Either live or are based in Knowsley.
  • Are driven and eager to develop their creativity and career.

Residents benefit from 24/7 access and get to utilise our cutting-edge Innovation Lab for experimentation with making and product design. Join a vibrant, supportive hub of creativity!

Examples of work can include photographs, drawings, sketches, videos, audio, or writing. Remember, it doesn’t have to be professionally produced—we want to see what you enjoy creating!
