There is something special brewing in the heart of Huyton. Over the last 3, our studios at Make Huyton Village have become a beehive of activity, housing a community of artists, makers, and pioneers.
Now, we’re throwing open the doors to show you exactly what’s been happening behind the scenes. From Thursday 14th May to Thursday 21st May, we are taking over our space across the road, Make on the Corner, for the Make Huyton Village Showcase.
Hidden in Plain Sight: Creativity on Your Doorstep
You might walk past our doors on Derby Road every day, but have you ever wondered what’s being made inside?
This showcase is all about putting a spotlight on the skill and hard work that live right here in Huyton. You don’t have to head into the city to find amazing art or clever design—it’s already being done by the people who live and work in our own community. This is your chance to step inside, say hello, and see the incredible things your neighbors are creating every day.
When you step inside, you’ll find:
- Real Talent, Right Here: From beautiful paintings to professional theatrical costumes that have been designed and stitched right in the Village.
- Handmade in Huyton: Discover unique products and gifts that prove you can find high-quality, local items without leaving the neighborhood.
- Get Involved: It’s not a “quiet gallery” vibe—we’ll have interactive pieces that you can get stuck into and experience for yourself.
- Support Your Own: Learn more about how Make Huyton Village helps local people turn their hobbies and skills into thriving small businesses.

We’re kicking things off with a welcoming Launch Event on the evening of Thursday 14th May. It’s the perfect time to grab a drink, have a chat with the makers, and be the first to see what has been made in the heart of the Village.
