Big things are happening behind the scenes, and we wanted to share some important updates with you all ahead of our upcoming AGM on 16th July.
At this year’s annual general meeting we will be outlining exciting plans for our next phase of growth. We are preparing to transition from a Community Interest Company (CIC) into a more fitting and co-operative model. Amongst other things, we’re considering a Community Benefit Society, a legal form that can operate as charity.
This change can allow us to deepen our impact and ensure our community remains at the absolute heart of everything we do.
We want to hear from you! As a community organisation, your voice matters most to us. We want to collect vital insight and feedback from our beneficiaries regarding these plans, so please come along to our AGM to have your say and help shape this next step together.
To help guide us into this exciting future, we are also looking for a new Chair to join our Board of Directors and help with the kind of leadership we’ll need for our new chapter.
Our incredible current Chair will be stepping down on 16th July as their term comes to an end. We are immensely grateful for their dedication and guidance, which has brought us to this exciting turning point. Because of this transition, we are looking for a new Chair of the Board with the vision and experience to help steer us through this legal evolution.

On the same day, we are also hosting our Make North Docks Resident Showcase! Come along to see the incredible work of the residents in our building and catch some live artist and maker demos.
